Battle Pass Challenges (And Solutions!) for Week 1, Season 7 of Fortnite Battle Royale

We've got all your life and mine.

Rise and shine, chiclets! It's the first week of a brand new season, with a brand new Battle Pass and 100 brand new tiers to earn. That Beef Boss kigurumi skin doesn't unlock until tier 87, so there's no time to waste. Here's what you'll be doing over the weekend:

  • Pick up an item of each rarity [Free | 5 Battle Stars]
  • Dance in 7 different forbidden locations [Free | 5 Battle Stars]
  • Play 5 matches with at least 1 elimination [Free | 10 Battle Stars]
  • Dance on top of a crown of RV's
    • Dance on top of a metal turtle
      • Dance on top of a submarine [Battle Pass | 5 Battle Stars total]
  • Deal 500 headshot damage to opponents [Battle Pass | 5 Battle Stars]
  • Search 5 ammo boxes in a single match
    • Search 3 chests in a single match
      • Search a supply drop [Battle Pass | 10 Battle Stars total]
  • Eliminate opponents in 5 different named locations

Pick up an item of each rarity

A good ol' fashioned "takes care of itself eventually" challenge. We like this one because it doesn't specify that the items have to be acquired in order of rarity, and that really takes the edge off. Good lookin' out, Epic! Your best bet for grey and green items will be in unnamed locations and behind counters in convenience stores, so Tomato Temple and surrounding area is good for this challenge. Not only does it have a lot of floor spawns for common and uncommon items, but it also has a good density of chest spawns for the more rare stuff.

Dance in 7 different forbidden locations

Dancing has been prohibited in 10 different locations across the island, and it's up to you to bring the boogie back to Battle Royale. We've got a map of where the forbidden locations are, just make sure to remember which ones you've been to and which you haven't -- repeat protest dances don't count towards the goal. Maybe save the map and cross 'em off in MS Paint as you go! Or just remember things better than we do, whatever works best for you!

Play 5 matches with at least 1 elimination

With Team Rumble still in the LTM rotation for this week, you should be able to brute force your way through this challenge, even if you're a terrible shot like us. Resist the urge to start fighting during the first circle, and really take your time to explore and gear up as best you can. Don't worry about making it back to the second circle in time, as it's actually faster to get killed by the storm and respawn at the new circle, rather than running there on foot. And hey, if you're having trouble landing the shots you need, try lowering your mouse sensitivity in settings. Your arm will have to work more than it's used to, but it might help keep your target in the crosshairs.

Dance on top of a crown of RV's, etc

Defiant dancing continues in this challenge, where players must show the true meaning of rhythm to the world, and themselves. There's a map below with locations for each of these landmarks, but remember that since this challenge is presented in stages, each stage must be completed in a separate match.

Deal 500 headshot damage to opponents

This seems like a 10 Battle Star challenge if you ask us, but we're not the ones crankin' out gold in North Carolina so what do we know. Our advice for the elimination challenge above applies here as well, just try and click on their heads instead of their torsos. That's all there is to it, probably!

Search 5 ammo boxes in a single match, etc

The last time this challenge showed up, Epic wanted us to search seven ammo boxes in a single match, so we're glad to see that number come down. Remember that ammo boxes like to live on shelves, behind counters, in attics, and under stairs, so residential areas are a good bet for this one. Team Battle will give you more time to loot and more safety while looting, so we recommend doing all three stages of this challenge in that mode. Don't worry about supply drops until the second circle, but do remember to look up. There's a whole big sky up there!

Eliminate opponents in 5 different named locations

As you've learned from our very broken record, Team Rumble is normally our go-to recommendation for PVP challenges. However! There's no guarantee that the second circle -- where all the eliminations actually happen -- will spawn over a named location, let alone one you haven't covered yet. For that reason, regular ol' Battle Royale will be the most efficient way to knock this challenge out. As with the forbidden dance zones, make a little note of which spots you've covered to avoid wasting time on accidental repeats.

Hidden Tier

It's on that dang ol' submarine! Peep the map, babycakes, and we'll see you next week!
